Bergen International Guitar Festival is a non-profit organization working to promote further interest in classical guitar music within Scandinavia.

The Bergen International Guitar Festival will be arranged for the fifth time during the summer of 2008, June 24 - 28. We are proud to present our exciting programme on these web pages.

The festival consists of a summer school and evening concerts with professional performers. The recitals this year will be held by David Russell, Fabio Zanon, Svein Lundestad, Stein Erik Olsen and Olivier Chassain. In addition to this will Gilbert Biberian give lectures and lead guitar emsembles. Moreover, we are proud to invite back excellent teatchers such as Kim Stian Bakke, Trond Hugo Ahlsen, Johnny Kristiansen and Randall Avers.
